Video Production

VTPrivateye, LLC knows how to advocate visually in the courtroom. We produce deeply personal and intimate videos for settlement purposes, for big civil cases in Vermont and New York, and we are also often contracted to assist legal teams with producing videos around the country.

VTPrivateye is my go-to investigative firm. Susan Randall and her team are quick, responsive, and thorough, but more significantly, they are attuned to social and personal nuances and the complexities of all varieties of humans. I trust them to conduct meetings and interviews with people in the most sophisticated and sensitive manner. They never let us down! And if you need a film— a day in the life film for a lawsuit, for example—Susan and her collaborating film directors can create a compelling visual narrative.

Whether it’s a personal injury case, and you want to show damages, or it’s a Day in the Life video, we will work to tell a visually compelling story, to help you settle your case in the best way possible. We work with an award-winning documentary filmmaker, who shoots and edits the videos with us, and we handle all aspects of production. We are happy to share samples of our work to give you a sense of what we can do for your case. We have helped many civil litigators settle their cases for big settlements, and avoid trial. The videos are emotionally evocative and incredibly effective.

The video VTPrivateye produced about my client, who was left a quadriplegic in a high school football accident was descriptive, yet not maudlin or sentimental. It really worked. VTPrivateye’s work helps me to understand the strengths and weaknesses of my case and the witnesses who will tell the story in court. I have seen several adjusters and defense attorneys deeply moved. When VTPrivateye works for us, they are part of the litigation team.

We also produce compelling videos for sentencing/mitigation. When a defendant has a particularly compelling story that we can better show than tell, we shoot interviews with family and friends, and assemble all visuals to tell your client’s unique story. We help you give the judge very good reasons to sentence outside the guideline range, and show mercy to your client. Attorneys have said that our videos are "the most powerful demonstrative evidence of the humanity of our clients and their families."

I’ve had great experiences working with Susan and her team. They are very thorough and have found information and gotten interviews we otherwise would not have accessed. Highly recommend!
— Tristan Christopher Larson, Vermont Criminal and Civil Attorney

Susan Randall worked in NYC as an associate producer for the hit series Biography, for A&E television. She now has applied those production skills to good use in the courtroom, obtaining real life downward departure results for clients who really need it. We have helped save clients from serving decades in prison, by telling their story in a heartfelt, and emotionally compelling way.

My law firm was very fortunate to retain Susan Randall and Vermont Private Eye to investigate and produce a short film concerning an 18-wheeler-truck versus automobile collision, with death and serious injury resulting. Susan’s film and the facts uncovered by her investigation allowed us to present the case very effectively. I highly recommend Susan Randall and Vermont Private Eye.
